Finding The Balance As Professional Photographers

When we started our business we thought that wedding photography would be our focus. We saw our business as purely a wedding business with a dream to fill our calendar full of amazing weddings.

We quickly found our style and enjoyed putting lots of time and energy into giving our Brides and Grooms a great experience, creating amazing photographs and designing very special albums.

Putting this amount of energy into wedding photography isn’t sustainable and so we had some choices to make.

* Simplify our weddings, photographs and album design so we can fit more in.

Or

* Reduce the number of weddings and keep them special!

We thought long and hard and knew that we wouldn’t enjoy simplifying weddings. So…

..how were we going to make this work?

We expanded our business to include other types of photography and I’m please to say, it paid off!! We now photograph a handful of really special weddings each year, putting all our energy into capturing the special day and creating a beautiful album.

In addition to weddings, we enjoy:

Real-estate photography - photographing larger properties going on the market

Portrait photography – having fun with families in our studio,

Training budding photographers - sharing our knowledge and passion for photography by training hobbyists through Going Digital Yorkshire

Make over & pamper party portrait shoots -  Photographing fun make over and pamper parties with Chocolate Beauty Spa and Pamper Me UK

We consider ourselves very lucky to have developed a business that makes us proud, sparks our creativity and never ever feels like a ‘job’.
