What an absolute pleasure it has been to capture this family's next big milestone with the arrival of little Isla. At just 9 days new, she obviously felt safe with big brother Isaac.
I love to start a session with a sibling photo, it helps them to bond and makes the older sibling feel important at a time when the focus is more towards the newest member of the family. It also means that older siblings are then free to leave and spend some fun time with a parent/grandparent - the full newborn session is up to four hours long and a great chance for the new parents to relax - but for the older siblings.... it's just boring.
Once the gorgeous sibling photos were finished it was time to put all our attention on baby Isla. With a full tummy, she slept, well...., like a baby. So sweet and just look at all that hair - beautiful!
With our soft and light backdrops, all the focus is on little Isla, and with a similar colour pallet throughout, they will look great as a collection of images printed out around their home.
Do I see a little smile there?
Stopping for feeding and soothing when Isla needed to, she quickly went back to sleep and even had a moment to chill in her hammock.

I love our new moon and stars prop, and Isla just looks gorgeous safely positioned on the supersoft cushion. I didn't want to disturb her and we all just stood looking at her and all her cuteness.
Of course, with every newborn photoshoot, it is important to capture all their fresh and tiny newborn features - hands, feet, lips etc
All our full newborn photoshoots include a free Little Sitter photoshoot - I don't want to wish time away, but I'm already looking forward to seeing the whole family again to capture Isla's next big milestone when she can sit independently.
