The first few months of your child’s life is a whirlwind of change, as your little one puts on the pounds. One of your biggest wishes will be that you could freeze every moment, so you can really cherish your baby as a teeny-tiny human. And that’s why newborn photography is so important, but what about those niggling doubts? 

My baby will be unsettled

They might be, and that's okay. Our sessions are up to four hours long, this is to allow time for feeding and soothing. Mum and Dad always know best and it takes time and patience to settle your baby. As you can imagine, we also have a few soothing techniques which usually work a treat and get baby into the deep and settled sleep (here are our top tips).  However, there is no magic baby settling wand (now wouldn't that be a great product!) and occasionally babies just don't settle. We are lead by baby and if they're not happy then we will reschedule - it's important that everyone is relaxed and enjoys the experience including baby, Mum and Dad.

I will be late for the session

You know we've only ever had one newborn family arrive on time! It's all about baby now and there is absolutely no pressure to be on time. We arrange a rough time for you to arrive and book the whole day out so you can arrive when you and baby are ready. A hungry baby and a dirty nappy will always scupper your best intentions. We'd much rather you arrive when you are ready, relaxed and ready to enjoy your photoshoot, even if that's a couple of hours later than scheduled.

Will my baby be in safe hands?

I'm fully trained by one the UK's leading newborn photographers, with equal amounts of technical and safety training. Continuous training is vitally important to keep up to date with safety and posing techniques. Being a BANPAS (Baby And Newborn Photography Association) member we get the support and training we need to ensure your baby is in safe hands.

I know I'm going to love all the photos, but I'm scared I won't be able to afford them.

We are always upfront about all our prices and packages. With a standard package price for the session including a number of images, and an optional upgrade if you just can't choose. You can then make an informed decision about the session confident that it fits in your budget and there will be no nasty surprises.
