Our Top 5 Father's Day Gift Ideas!

A story about Daddy!!

We all love personalised books for children, I still treasure the one from my childhood (the book is only a few years old I promise) - 'Me, Snow White and the Seven Dwarves'. I"m sure this is where my love of all things Disney started.   Did you know you can now get a personalised adventure book about Daddy!!! A lovely way to involve the kids and create a story with familiar names through Not On The High Street

Capture precious memories to last forever

Of course, we are slightly biassed but memories caught on camera are precious and will be treasured by generations to come. Whether those photos are with Dad, Grandad or both - all generations will love to look at these.  Join our Daddy You Totally Rock mini session this Sunday 16th June and let us capture those fun photos for you.

Photo gifts

So you've got some gorgeous photos from your 'Daddy You Rock' mini session, and with three digital images included what are you going to do with them? Don't leave them as digital, there are loads of fun photo ideas out there. Photobox have some great offers and really quirky gifts that Dad's and Grandad's are bound to love. We really like their Magic Mug!

Handmade with love

Get creative and help the kids bake some biscuits or buns for the father figures in their lives. There are some great, easy to use, decorating kits in the supermarket to really make it fun. And who doesn't love a handmade card! There are loads of quick and easy ideas on Crafty Morning  - I know it will make a huge mess but I guarantee it will be fun and why not capture some of the chaos on your phone - it's all part of the memory making.

Time

There is nothing more precious than time  - so how about a Father's Day Picnic! Get the kids involved and go to the supermarket, let them decide on Daddy's favourite foods for the picnic. 'Let the kids choose! Are you mad' I can hear you all laughing - but I've been assured that jellybean sandwiches are a firm favourite of Dad's everywhere! If the weather's not on your side then all is not lost, have a carpet picnic at home instead.

As well as the usual (or unusual) sandwiches, you might want to include:

  • Sweets
  • A beer for Daddy
  • Game for you all to play (board game, an outdoor game like football or make up a nature treasure hunt - send Daddy and the kids on the hunt while you relax (you are welcome))
  • Don't forget to capture the fun on your camera/phone and consider printing one of your favourites.

Happy Father's Day to all the Dad's, Grandad's and Father figures out there!!
